Our team members have wide-ranging experience in the R&D environment, commencing in 1989, with more than a quarter century of combined experience in the rapidly evolving and highly sophisticated defence research environment.


We have strong links to leading South African organisations in the fields of defence, research, electro-optics and RF.  Our technology suppliers, both local and international, are reputable organisations that we have selected for their unique product offerings and exceptional quality.

François Collin
Registered Professional Natural Scientist 
SACNASP - 400251/06

Completed BSc (Physics & Chemistry) at the University of Port Elizabeth in 1988.
Was seconded during National Service in 1990 to the military research programme of the CSIR (NIDR/Aerotek).
Between 1991 and 1996 worked as a research scientist for the electro-optics programme at the CSIR on a variety of projects mostly aimed at self-protection, including camouflage, IR suppression and Electronic Warfare.
Since 1996 has continued providing  R&D contract services through his own company FC LogCon.
Has been agent/distributor of high-tech scientific products and imaging systems to the South African market since  2001.
Zania Collin

Studied communications and law subjects  at UNISA and UJ.
Was the PRO for the Hazardous Waste Programme at FRD from 1990 to 1991.
Joined the Legal Services team at CSIR as PA from 1991 to 2002. 
From 2002 she has consulted at several PFMA listed entities on various Corporate Governance issues.
Lee Annamalai

Completed BSc Engineering (Hons) at the University of Natal in 1999.
Completed BEng (Hons) at the University of Pretoria in 2001.
Completed MEng at the University of Pretoria in 2002.
From 2000 to 2002 was an engineer for the electro-optics programme at the CSIR on a variety of defence projects mostly aimed at infrared self-protection.
From 2003 to 2008 was the Research Manager for the Optronic Sensor Systems at the Defence Research Unit of the CSIR.
Lee currently divides his time between a diverse portfolio of activities including management consulting services in the R&D environment.
